Job Requirements

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related fields. Advanced degree preferred.

•    Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in AI, data science, or related fields, with a strong understanding of the AI landscape in the MENA region.
Skills:
o    Excellent research and analytical skills.
o    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
o    Proficiency in content management systems and data organization tools.
o    Ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
o    Familiarity with AI-related policies, regulatory issues, and privacy concerns in the MENA region.
o    Advanced writing skills in English and Arabic

Job Duties:

The Content Curator will spearhead the consolidation of efforts and information gathering for the AI Observatory. The role is crucial in ensuring the Observatory becomes a central, go-to resource for AI knowledge in the region.
Responsibilities:
o    Content Identification and Collection: Monitor various sources (news, academic journals, industry reports, government publications) to identify relevant content related to AI and data in the MENA region; Track AI-related policies, regulatory developments, privacy issues, and technological advancements.
o    Content Curation and Organization: Curate content to create comprehensive and coherent updates, reports, and briefs; Develop and maintain a structured database of AI-related activities and policies.
o    Resource Selection: Identify and select relevant resources that can be used for public awareness and literacy programs; and Curate educational materials suitable for various educational programs and initiatives.
o    System Development for Content Acquisition: Establish a mechanism or system where content can be efficiently crowdsourced or scraped; and Implement processes that streamline the collection and distribution of AI-related information.
o    Communication and Dissemination: Develop and disseminate newsletters, articles, and social media posts to keep the community informed; and Create engaging and informative content for the organization's website and other platforms.
