Scholarships offered by the Italian Government to foreign and Italian students residing abroad (IRE)

Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale (MAECI) offers scholarships in favour of foreign and Italian students living abroad (IRE) for the 2022-2023 Academic Year, with the aim of promoting cooperation in cultural, scientific and technological fields, projection of Italy’s economic system in the world and the spread of knowledge of the Italian language and culture (Ref. Law 288/55 and subsequent amendments and integration).

The scholarship only covers the frequency of courses on Italian territory.

Candidates can apply only through the “Study in Italy” portal https://studyinitaly.esteri.it/

Online applications must be submitted before 14.00 (Italian time) on June 9, 2022.

Grants for foreign and Italian citizens living abroad awarded by the Italian Government

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers grants in favor of foreign citizens and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) for the Academic Year 2022-2023 in order to foster international cooperation in cultural, scientific and technological fields, to promote Italian language and culture and to support Italy’s economic system in the world (According to Law 288/55 and its subsequent changes and additions).

Scholarships are available to attend academic courses in Italy only.
